Fortune Cat
The story of a fortunate partnership with HKTDC.
To help smallorders.hktdc.com reach struggling family-owned electronics businesses in Hong Kong, we created a short narrative film that doubled as an introduction video. Through the story of two partners working together to revive their shop, we showed small businesses how SmallOrders could be a lifeline.
-
Smallorders.hktdc.com was a new business-to-business wholesale platform by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, specialising in connecting small businesses around the world with vendors in Hong Kong and China. The site features a variety of fun products, but primarily deals in tech.
-
HKTDC wanted us to spice up and simplify their overly-complex ‘how-to’ video to attract more traditional business owners, who felt ordering online was too complicated and confusing.
-
As Hong Kong grows and becomes younger, small businesses run by elderly residents inevitably suffer. Left behind in the wake of a tech revolution, these businesses struggle to stay relevant, and eventually close.
We created a short animated film to show them how simple and beneficial the SmallOrders site could be in rejuvenating their businesses.
